1618 Relating to Class 2 municipalities; to amend Section
1719 33-4A-13, Code of Alabama 1975, relating to rulemaking
1820 authority of the State Pilotage Commission; to regulate the
1921 usage of maritime data for use in pilotage of vessels.
2022 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
2123 Section 1. Section 33-4A-13, Code of Alabama 1975, is
2224 amended to read as follows:
2325 "ยง33-4A-13
2426 (a) The commission shall have the power and authority
2527 to may make all necessary rules and regulations regulating the
2628 piloting of ships and all watercrafts into and out of any
2729 harbor or seaport until berthed at the docking facility in the
2830 Port of Mobile or until past the Mobile Entrance Lighted
2931 Buoy(M). Maritime data produced by foreign states or by a
3032 foreign or domestic company must be expressly preapproved by
3133 the commission for any official use in pilotage.
3234 (b) The commission shall also have the power and
