Senate Bill 48 as introduced would increase the administrative obligations, by an undetermined
amount, of: (1) the local boards of education to verify the posting of each school's adopted
curricula for each class on the school's website; (2) the local superintendents of education to
verify and/or post adopted curricula of certain schools on the website, receive complaints of
non-compliance of teachers and file annually with the State Superintendent of Education the
number of complaints received from parents of teachers that do not comply with the provisions
of this bill; and (3) the State Superintendent of Education to post adopted curricula of certain
schools on the website, and receive and report the number of complaints received pursuant to
the provisions of this bill.
