1717 AN ACT
1818 Relating to Calhoun County; to amend Section 45-8-110,
1919 Code of Alabama 1975; to further provide for the compensation
2020 of the board of registrars.
2121 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
2222 Section 1. Section 45-8-110, Code of Alabama 1975, is
2323 amended to read as follows:
2424 "ยง45-8-110
2525 (a)(1) Notwithstanding any other provision of law to
2626 the contrary, in the Calhoun County,Commission shall pay each
2727 member of the board of registrars shall receive additional
2828 compensation in the amount of fifteen dollars ($15) per day
2929 for each day's attendance upon business of the board, on days
3030 the board is authorized to meet and conduct business, to be
3131 paid by the county commission out of the county general fund
3232 of the county treasury . Such amount shall be in addition to
3333 any and all other amounts provided for by law.
3434 (2) The Calhoun County Commission, by resolution, may
3535 increase the additional compensation authorized in subdivision
3636 (1).

6767 (b) If implementation of the compensation in this
6868 section subsection (a) increases the compensation of an
6969 incumbent office holder and is prohibited by the Constitution
7070 of Alabama of 1901, as amended 2022, or otherwise by law, the
7171 increase shall be paid as an expense allowance until the
7272 beginning of the next term of office whereupon the amount of
7373 the expense allowance shall be included in the compensation
7474 for the office holder and the expense allowance shall be
7575 voided."
7676 Section 2. This act shall become effective on October
7777 1, 2025.
