| 20 | 20 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 21 | 21 | Section 1. In Russell County, effective at the end of | |
| 22 | 22 | the term of office of the constable serving on June 1, 2025, | |
| 23 | 23 | the office of constable provided for in each precinct pursuant | |
| 24 | 24 | to Chapter 23, Title 36, Code of Alabama 1975, is abolished. | |
| 25 | 25 | Section 2. This act shall become effective on June 1, | |
