A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
Relating to Russell County; to abolish the office of
constable.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. In Russell County, effective at the end of
the term of office of the constable serving on June 1, 2025,
the office of constable provided for in each precinct pursuant
to Chapter 23, Title 36, Code of Alabama 1975, is abolished.
Section 2. This act shall become effective on June 1,
2025.
