| 20 | 20 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 21 | 21 | Section 1. Section 45-57-230, Code of Alabama 1975, is | |
| 22 | 22 | amended to read as follows: | |
| 23 | 23 | "§45–57–230 | |
| 24 | 24 | (a) Pursuant to Amendment 380 to Section 57-8.00 of the | |
| 25 | 25 | Constitution of Alabama of 19012022, the annual salary of the | |
| 26 | 26 | Sheriff of Russell County shall be one hundred twenty thousand | |
| 27 | 27 | dollars ($120,000) one hundred thirty-five thousand dollars | |
| 28 | 28 | ($135,000), which shall be paid in the same manner and at the | |
| 29 | 29 | same time as other county employees. | |
| 30 | 30 | (b) The salary provided in this section shall be in | |
| 31 | 31 | lieu of any other salary provided by general or local law." | |
| 32 | 32 | Section 2. This act shall become effective on June 1, | |
| 33 | 33 | 2025. | |
