House Bill 423 as introduced could decrease revenues to the Department of Corrections (DOC)
and certain counties that have an established work release program for county and state inmates
by an undetermined amount dependent upon the amount of wages withheld by DOC or the
county for inmates convicted of murder that are currently working in a work release program
that would no longer be eligible for work release based on the provisions of this bill.
