A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
Relating to Conecuh County; to authorize the county
commission to levy an additional motor vehicle license and
registration issuance fee; to provide for distribution of the
proceeds; and to provide for the repeal of the act.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. (a)(1) The Conecuh County Commission, prior
to May 31, 2025, may levy and provide for the collection of an
annual additional motor vehicle license and registration
issuance fee in the amount of up to twelve dollars ($12) on
each new registration, transfer, or renewal on any vehicle in
the county commencing on June 1, 2025.
(2) The fee authorized by this section may only be for
one continuing annual fee of up to twelve dollars ($12).
(3) The county's license issuing official shall collect
the issuance fee on each new registration, transfer, or
renewal on a vehicle in the county.
(4) The fee shall be in addition to all other fees,
taxes, or other charges provided for the license and
registration of a vehicle.
(b) The license issuing official, on a monthly basis,

(b) The license issuing official, on a monthly basis,
shall distribute the proceeds from this section to the
Evergreen-Conecuh Health Care Authority.
(c) This section is repealed on September 30, 2040, and
any fee being collected pursuant to this section is abolished.
Section 2. This act shall become effective immediately.
