| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, it is necessary for branches of the |

| 18 | 18 | | government of the State of Alabama, its agencies and |

| 19 | 19 | | departments, and its municipalities and county governments |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | to work together to accomplish the needs of the state and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | its residents; and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | WHEREAS, specifically, it is essential that the |

| 23 | 23 | | channels of communication between the Department of |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Transportation and local governing and law enforcement |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | officials remain open to ensure public roads and highways |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | are best serving the residents of the state; and |

| 27 | 27 | | WHEREAS, to accomplish that goal, the Department of |

| 28 | 28 | | Transportation is encouraged to be more collaborative when |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | conversing with local government and law enforcement |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | officials regarding areas of need that fall under the |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | department's jurisdiction; now therefore, |

| 32 | 32 | | BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, BOTH |

| 33 | 33 | | HOUSES THEREOF CONCURRING, That to promote goodwill and |

| 35 | 35 | | Transportation and local governmental agencies and |
|---|
