15	15	HR____ RECOGNIZING MARY B. MORRISON FOR HER WRITING SUCCESS
16	16	AND AS AN ADVOCATE FOR FEMALE EMPOWERMENT.
17	17	WHEREAS, with great pride and special pleasure,
18	18	highest commendations are conveyed to Mary B. Morrison for
19	19	her many professional achievements in the world of writing
20	20	and her work as a female empowerment advocate; and
21	21	WHEREAS, growing up in New Orleans, Mary "Honey B"
22	22	Morrison graduated from McDonogh 35 Senior High School in
23	23	1982; she earned an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from
24	24	Berkeley City College in Berkeley, California; she has over
25	25	18 years of federal government experience elevating from a
26	26	GS-2 to a GS-14 Management Analysis Officer with the U.S.
27	27	Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington,
28	28	D.C.; in June of 2000, she resigned from the federal
29	29	government to launch her literary career; and
30	30	WHEREAS, Ms. Morrison is a New York Times Bestselling
31	31	Author, screenwriter, playwright, executive producer, and
32	32	motivational speaker; with 30 books in print, she is a
33	33	literary coach and ghostwriter; she finds a special purpose
34	34	as an intimacy consultant for women experiencing symptoms of
35	35	perimenopause and menopause; and
36	36	WHEREAS, she is now the executive producer and writer
37	37	of multiple stage plays based on her novel, Single Husbands;
38	38	her current goal is to produce her first film by the end of

70	70	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
71	71	LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That author and female empowerment
72	72	advocate, Mary "Honey B" Morrison, is highly commended for
73	73	her many long-lasting contributions and achievements over
74	74	the course of her career, and this resolution is offered to
75	75	her as evidence of our high regard and appreciation for her
76	76	service to women in her community and all over the world.
