1515 HR____ RECOGNIZING MARY B. MORRISON FOR HER WRITING SUCCESS
1616 AND AS AN ADVOCATE FOR FEMALE EMPOWERMENT.
1717 WHEREAS, with great pride and special pleasure,
1818 highest commendations are conveyed to Mary B. Morrison for
1919 her many professional achievements in the world of writing
2020 and her work as a female empowerment advocate; and
2121 WHEREAS, growing up in New Orleans, Mary "Honey B"
2222 Morrison graduated from McDonogh 35 Senior High School in
2323 1982; she earned an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from
2424 Berkeley City College in Berkeley, California; she has over
2525 18 years of federal government experience elevating from a
2626 GS-2 to a GS-14 Management Analysis Officer with the U.S.
2727 Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington,
2828 D.C.; in June of 2000, she resigned from the federal
2929 government to launch her literary career; and
3030 WHEREAS, Ms. Morrison is a New York Times Bestselling
3131 Author, screenwriter, playwright, executive producer, and
3232 motivational speaker; with 30 books in print, she is a
3333 literary coach and ghostwriter; she finds a special purpose
3434 as an intimacy consultant for women experiencing symptoms of
3535 perimenopause and menopause; and
3636 WHEREAS, she is now the executive producer and writer
3737 of multiple stage plays based on her novel, Single Husbands;
3838 her current goal is to produce her first film by the end of

7070 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7171 LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That author and female empowerment
7272 advocate, Mary "Honey B" Morrison, is highly commended for
7373 her many long-lasting contributions and achievements over
7474 the course of her career, and this resolution is offered to
7575 her as evidence of our high regard and appreciation for her
7676 service to women in her community and all over the world.
