HR____ RECOGNIZING MARY B. MORRISON FOR HER WRITING SUCCESS
AND AS AN ADVOCATE FOR FEMALE EMPOWERMENT.
WHEREAS, with great pride and special pleasure,
highest commendations are conveyed to Mary B. Morrison for
her many professional achievements in the world of writing
and her work as a female empowerment advocate; and 
WHEREAS, growing up in New Orleans, Mary "Honey B"
Morrison graduated from McDonogh 35 Senior High School in
1982; she earned an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts from
Berkeley City College in Berkeley, California; she has over
18 years of federal government experience elevating from a
GS-2 to a GS-14 Management Analysis Officer with the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington,
D.C.; in June of 2000, she resigned from the federal
government to launch her literary career; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Morrison is a New York Times Bestselling
Author, screenwriter, playwright, executive producer, and
motivational speaker; with 30 books in print, she is a
literary coach and ghostwriter; she finds a special purpose
as an intimacy consultant for women experiencing symptoms of
perimenopause and menopause; and 
WHEREAS, she is now the executive producer and writer
of multiple stage plays based on her novel, Single Husbands;
her current goal is to produce her first film by the end of

her current goal is to produce her first film by the end of
2026; now therefore, 
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That author and female empowerment
advocate, Mary "Honey B" Morrison, is highly commended for
her many long-lasting contributions and achievements over
the course of her career, and this resolution is offered to
her as evidence of our high regard and appreciation for her
service to women in her community and all over the world.
