21 | 21 | | Programs and Occupations have been established in Jackson |

23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, March 2-8 is recognized as Women in |

24 | 24 | | Construction Week; this week is crucial to honor women who |

25 | 25 | | mhave overcome challenges and stereotypes in the |

26 | 26 | | construction industry, to encourage more women to pursue |
---|
27 | 27 | | careers in construction, and to promote diversity and |

28 | 28 | | inclusion in the construction industry; and |

29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, the focus of these organizations is to share |

30 | 30 | | different opportunities for females in CTE, Construction, |

31 | 31 | | and Manufacturing, to educate and expose females to these |
---|
32 | 32 | | types of careers, and to provide networking opportunities |

33 | 33 | | and employment information; the outcome of the group is to |

34 | 34 | | provide a potential pipeline of female skilled workers for |

35 | 35 | | the workforce and provide a network for females already |

36 | 36 | | working within these fields; women in all construction and |

37 | 37 | | manufacturing jobs, including office and administration, |
