15	15	HR___ COMMENDING HAMILTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ON RECEIVING THE
16	16	NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY EDUCATION
17	17	ACT STATE PROGRAM ADIMINISTRATORS DISTINGUISHED SCHOOLS
18	18	AWARD.
19	19	WHEREAS, highest commendations and well wishes are
20	20	hereby extended to Hamilton Elementary School in Marion
21	21	County, Alabama, on being named a National Association of
22	22	Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) State Program
23	23	Administrators Distinguished Schools award winner; and
24	24	WHEREAS, Hamilton Elementary School in Marion County,
25	25	Alabama, will be recognized for its exceptional student
26	26	performance and achievement at the ESEA Conference in
27	27	Austin, Texas, in February; and
28	28	WHEREAS, schools were selected from among other Title
29	29	I schools with high poverty rates that demonstrated
30	30	improvement in certain students' achievement rates; and
31	31	WHEREAS, Hamilton Elementary School, a Southern
32	32	Association of Schools accredited school, houses students
33	33	prekindergarten through fourth grade and a special needs
34	34	preschool program; and
35	35	WHEREAS, under the leadership of Superintendent Dr.
36	36	Patrick Sutton and Principal Mr. Gary McCarley, Hamilton
37	37	Elementary has shown remarkable student performance during
38	38	the last two years, with an average achievement rate of

70	70	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
71	71	LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That highest honors and
72	72	commendations be given to Hamilton Elementary School in
73	73	Marion County, Alabama, on being named a National
74	74	Association of Elementary and Secondary Education Act State
75	75	Program Administrator s Distinguished Schools award winner ,
76	76	and we offer this resolution as a token of our gratitude and
77	77	as evidence of our sincere appreciation and high regard as
78	78	they continue to raise the bar for educational leadership.
