16	16	SOCCER TEAM FOR WINNING THE 2025 ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL
17	17	ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION CLASS 7A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP.
18	18	WHEREAS, we take great pride and pleasure in
19	19	congratulating the Montgomery Academy (MA) Varsity Boys
20	20	Soccer Team, from Montgomery, Alabama, on winning the 2025
21	21	Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA) Class 7A
22	22	Boys Soccer State Championship and finishing their season
23	23	with a 19-5-2 record; this victory gives MA its first AHSAA
24	24	boys soccer championship in school history; and
25	25	WHEREAS, on May 10, 2025, at the John Hunt Park at
26	26	Loretta P. Spencer Sports Complex in Huntsville, the Eagles,
27	27	through teamwork, diligence, and an unwavering commitment to
28	28	excellence, ended Oak Mountain High School's 49-game winning
29	29	streak and 60-game unbeaten string dating back to the 2023
30	30	season with a stunning 2-1 victory; prior to the game,
31	31	MaxPreps predicted that the Eagles had a zero chance of
32	32	defeating the number one ranked team in the country; and
33	33	WHEREAS, senior Cade Segars earned tournament MVP
34	34	honors and scored one of the two goals; and
35	35	WHEREAS, the Montgomery Academy Boys Varsity Soccer
36	36	Program has been superbly coached and inspired by Head Coach
37	37	Gui Mondaini and assistant coaches Gabriel Dias and Renan
38	38	Diniz; under their leadership, the players have broadened

70	70	execution, and maintained Montgomery Academy's tradition of
71	71	superior play and true sportsmanship; and
72	72	WHEREAS, the talented members of the Montgomery
73	73	Academy Championship Varsity Boys Soccer Team are Rob
74	74	Ashworth, Tanner Bartgis, Reeves Hall, Reade Hartzog, Gage
75	75	Holloway, Ways Holloway, Hayes Lachney, Parker Mantooth,
76	76	Lawton McCollum, Doc McIntyre, Grady Ming, Christopher
77	77	Obenhaus, Drew Phenix, Cade Segars, Jacob Stubblefield, Will
78	78	Veale, Brody Watrous, Brewer Welch, Hampton Welch, Damion
79	79	Womack, and Ethan Yi; and
80	80	WHEREAS, the Montgomery Academy Eagles' success is a
81	81	tremendous source of pride for their families, classmates,
82	82	teachers, administrators, Athletic Director Wright Ward, and
83	83	the entire MA community, whose dedication and support have
84	84	played a crucial role in motivating the team; now therefore,
85	85	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
86	86	LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the Montgomery Academy Varsity
87	87	Boys 2025 Soccer Team and coaches are highly honored and
88	88	commended on an exceptional season and for winning the AHSAA
89	89	Class 7A State Championship; we hereby dedicate this
90	90	resolution to them with utmost admiration, along with best
91	91	wishes for continued success.
