17	17	HR____ MOURNING THE DEATH AND CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF
18	18	JOSEPHINE ARLENA JORDAN WILLIAMS.
19	19	WHEREAS, it is with profound sadness that we note the
20	20	death of Josephine Arelena Jordan Williams, of Mobile,
21	21	Alabama, on February 6, 2025, at the age of 90; and
22	22	WHEREAS, Ms. Williams was born on February 20, 1934,
23	23	to Julia Lee Parks Buchanan and Leon Jordan; she graduated
24	24	with the Class of 1952 from the Josephine Allen Private
25	25	Institute in Mobile, Alabama; and
26	26	WHEREAS, for many years, Josephine was a member of
27	27	Lily Baptist Church; throughout her life, she served in
28	28	various roles at the church and was always willing to assist
29	29	wherever needed; she was known for her generosity and her
30	30	ability to connect with people from all walks of life; she
31	31	cherished rearing her children and delighted in spending
32	32	time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
33	33	WHEREAS, professionally, Josephine worked at the
34	34	Courtaulds Fibers Rayon Plant in Axis, Alabama; after her
35	35	retirement from Courtaulds, she served as a transportation
36	36	aide for Franklin Primary Health Clinics; in her retirement,
37	37	she traveled extensively, cherished her family, and enjoyed
38	38	spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
39	39	WHEREAS, Josephine is preceded in death by her
40	40	parents; son, Lester Earl Jordan; and great-grandson, Jordan

77	77	Turner (Trequan), Daysia Veal, and Carson Juwan Cole; 17
78	78	great-grandchildren; and a host of other loved ones,
79	79	friends, and her church family; now therefore,
80	80	BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
81	81	LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA, That the death of Josephine Arlena
82	82	Jordan Williams is recorded with deep sadness, and this
83	83	resolution is offered in tribute to her life and with
84	84	heartfelt sympathy to her family, whose grief is shared by
85	85	many.
