18 | 18 | | unwavering dedication of Cheryl Varnadoe Ramsey, who touched |

21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Cheryl was born on August 21, 1968, to |

22 | 22 | | George Harold Varnadoe, Jr. and Rosetta Coats Williams, and |
---|
23 | 23 | | from an early age, she demonstrated a love for learning, |
---|
24 | 24 | | leadership, and music; and |
---|
25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, she was a proud graduate of A.H. Parker High |
---|
26 | 26 | | School, where she was actively involved in the marching and |
---|
27 | 27 | | concert bands, serving as section leader during her senior |
---|
28 | 28 | | year, and a dedicated member of the A.H. Parker High School |
---|
29 | 29 | | Concert Choir, where her melodious voice graced many |
---|
30 | 30 | | performances; and |
---|
31 | 31 | | WHEREAS, she pursued higher education at Jacksonville |
---|
32 | 32 | | State University, earning a double major in Human Resource |
---|
33 | 33 | | Management and Marketing, and in 1989, she became a |

34 | 34 | | distinguished member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, |
---|
35 | 35 | | Incorporated, an organization that remained dear to her |

36 | 36 | | heart throughout her life; and |

78 | 78 | | she served as the Graduate Advisor for both Iota Phi (UAB) |

79 | 79 | | and Gamma Pi (Miles College), earning the esteemed Graduate |

80 | 80 | | Adviser of the Year Award for the Southeastern Region for |

---|
82 | 82 | | WHEREAS, she was an active member of the Parker High |

83 | 83 | | School United Alumni Association, continuously working to |

84 | 84 | | uplift and support the institution that shaped her formative |

86 | 86 | | WHEREAS, on November 19, 2011, Cheryl married her |

87 | 87 | | devoted husband, Demetrius Ramsey, with whom she shared a |
