| 21 | 21 | BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA: | |
| 22 | 22 | Section 1. Section 45-2-244.078 is added to the Code of | |
| 23 | 23 | Alabama 1975, to read as follows: | |
| 24 | 24 | ยง45-2-244.078 | |
| 25 | 25 | Any municipality within the county with a municipal | |
| 26 | 26 | school board, by resolution of the municipal governing body, | |
| 27 | 27 | may elect to share in the proceeds of the special county | |
| 28 | 28 | privilege license tax levied by this subpart and thereafter | |
| 29 | 29 | shall be entitled to receive a pro rata share of the portion | |
| 30 | 30 | of the proceeds of the tax levied in this subpart distributed | |
| 31 | 31 | to the Baldwin County Board of Education pursuant to Section | |
| 32 | 32 | 45-2-244.077, based upon the amount of tax collected within | |
| 33 | 33 | the corporate boundaries of the municipality. | |
| 34 | 34 | Section 2. This act shall become effective on October | |
| 35 | 35 | 1, 2025. | |
