A BILL
TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
Relating to Baldwin County; to add Section 45-2-244.078
to the Code of Alabama 1975; to further provide for the
distribution of proceeds of the special privilege license tax.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF ALABAMA:
Section 1. Section 45-2-244.078 is added to the Code of
Alabama 1975, to read as follows:
ยง45-2-244.078
Any municipality within the county with a municipal
school board, by resolution of the municipal governing body,
may elect to share in the proceeds of the special county
privilege license tax levied by this subpart and thereafter
shall be entitled to receive a pro rata share of the portion
of the proceeds of the tax levied in this subpart distributed
to the Baldwin County Board of Education pursuant to Section
45-2-244.077, based upon the amount of tax collected within
the corporate boundaries of the municipality.
Section 2. This act shall become effective on October
1, 2025.
