2423 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 20

2625 SECTION 1. Section 5 of Acts 2021, No. 568, concerning the review by 22
2726 legislative committees of the effects of the act on licensing requirements 23
2827 for architects and concerning the temporary suspension of laws in conflict 24
2928 with the act, is repealed. 25
3029 SECTION 5. DO NOT CODIFY. TEMPORARY LANGUAGE AND SUSPENSION OF 26
3130 CURRENT LAW. Review and expiration. 27
3231 (a) The effect of this act shall be reviewed by t he House Committee on 28
3332 City, County, and Local Affairs and the Senate Committee on City, County, and 29
3433 Local Affairs on or before October 10, 2022, to determine if the licensing 30
3534 requirements for architects and the exemptions for buildings where the total 31
3635 cumulative and fair market value exceeds a certain dollar amount should 32
3736 either: 33
3837 (1) Remain at two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000); or 34
3938 (2) Revert to one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000). 35
4039 (b) This act is cumulative of existing laws and shall not repeal but 36 HB1005

4544 merely suspend any law in conflict with this act. 1
4645 (c) On and after December 31, 2023, the provisions of law suspended by 2
4746 this act shall be effective. 3
