ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. 17

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 20

SECTION 1. Arkansas Code ยง 5 -73-306(3), concerning places in which 22
carrying a concealed handgun is prohibited, is repealed. 23
(3)(A) A building of the Arkansas Department of Transportation 24
or onto grounds adjacent to a building of the Arkansas Department of 25
Transportation. 26
(B) However, subdivision (3)(A) of this section does not 27
apply to: 28
(i) A rest area or weigh station of the Arkansas 29
Department of Transportation; or 30
(ii) A publicly owned and maintained parking lot 31
that is a publicly accessible parking lot if the licensee is carrying a 32
concealed handgun in his or her motor vehicle or has left the concealed 33
handgun in his or her locked and unattended motor vehicle in the publicly 34
owned and maintained parking lot; APPROVED: 3/6/23 35
