| 22 | 21 | | SECTION 1. Arkansas Code ยง 16-22-501(a), concerning the intended 19 |

| 23 | 22 | | benefit that is required as an element of the unauthorized practice of law, 20 |

| 25 | 24 | | (a) A person commits an offense if, with intent to obtain a direct any 22 |

| 27 | 26 | | (1) Contracts with any person to represent that person with 24 |

| 28 | 27 | | regard to personal causes of action for property damages or personal injury; 25 |

| 29 | 28 | | (2) Advises any person as to the person's rights and the 26 |

| 30 | 29 | | advisability of making claims for personal injuries or property damages; 27 |

| 31 | 30 | | (3) Advises any person as to whether or not to accept an offered 28 |

| 32 | 31 | | sum of money in settlement of claims for personal injuries or property 29 |
