WHEREAS, the National FFA Organization and agricultural education 18
provide a strong foundation for the youth of America and the future of the 19
food, fiber, and natural resources system; and 20
21
WHEREAS, the Arkansas FFA Association officers and the National FFA 22
Organization officers serve as role models who inspire and encourage members 23
to achieve premier leadership, personal growth, and career success; and 24
25
WHEREAS, the Arkansas FFA Association currently has 17,503 members, 26
with 217 local chapters and 335 advisors; and 27
28
WHEREAS, agricultural education and the FFA ensure a steady supply of 29
young professionals to meet the growing demands in the science, business, and 30
technology of agriculture; and 31

WHEREAS, the FFA motto, "Learning to Do, Doing to Learn, Earning to 33
Live, Living to Serve", gives direction and purpose to these students who 34
actively pursue excellence in agricultural education; and 35

WHEREAS, the FFA promotes citizenship, volunteerism, patriotism, and 1

WHEREAS, National FFA Week is celebrated February 15 through February 4

NOW THEREFORE, 7
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY -FIFTH GENERAL 8
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS: 9

THAT the House of Representatives recognize the importance and positive 11
work of the National FFA Organization, commend the Arkansas FFA Association 12
officers and the National FFA Organization officers for their leadership, and 13
recognize February 15 through February 22, 2025, as National FFA Week. 14

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT upon adoption of this resolution, an appropriate 16
copy be provided to the Arkansas FFA Association and the National FFA 17
Organization by the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives. 18
