2222 WHEREAS, over thirty thousand (30,000) students were homeschooled in 20
2323 Arkansas during the 2023 -2024 school year; and 21

2525 WHEREAS, homeschooling offers flexibility, efficiency, and 23
2626 effectiveness in teaching students in Arkansas, and this benefit allows 24
2727 homeschooling families to offer increased opportunities for community 25
2828 involvement and service to others for their children; and 26

3030 WHEREAS, homeschooling is not a one -size-fits-all plan, and the 28
3131 education can be customized to the student's learning styles and preferences 29
3232 and can be beneficial to students with special needs; and 30

3434 WHEREAS, homeschooling provides benefits in academics, mental health, 32
3535 physical health, and social development; and 33

3737 WHEREAS, homeschooling encourages autonomy and independence and allows 35

5353 WHEREAS, homeschooling parents are able to value an individual 13
5454 student's potential and focus on this individual potential instead of minimum 14
5555 standards and standardized testing, and these parents are allowed to shape 15
5656 homeschooling so that learning for the students can be reactive to new 16
