Overview
Appropriates $1,000,000 from the state General Fund (GF) to the Coconino County Community
College District (CCCD) for firefighter training programs.
History
The CCCD Fire Science program provides training to individuals interested in either structural or
wildland fire fighting. The CCCD offers multiple certificates including a Wildfire Suppression
certificate, as well as intermediate and advanced Fire Science certificates. The CCCD also
provides the option to receive an associate's degree in Fire Science in which, upon completion,
an individual can enter the Fire Service.
Provisions
1. Appropriates $1,000,000 in FY 2023, from the GF to the CCCD for firefighter training
programs. (Sec. 1)
