Preauthorization; step edit requirements; prohibition; medications; opioid use disorder Beginning on October 1, 2026, the administration and its contractors may not impose any preauthorization requirement or step edit requirement for any form or formulation of any United States food and drug administration-approved medication for the treatment of opioid use disorder.
