AN ACT

 

amending title 36, chapter 29, article 1, arizona revised statutes, by adding section 36-2907.16; relating to the Arizona health care cost containment system.

 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona: Section 1. Title 36, chapter 29, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-2907.16, to read: START_STATUTE36-2907.16. Preauthorization; step edit requirements; prohibition; medications; opioid use disorder Beginning on October 1, 2026, the administration and its contractors may not impose any preauthorization requirement or step edit requirement for any form or formulation of any United States food and drug administration-approved medication for the treatment of opioid use disorder. END_STATUTE 

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Arizona:

Section 1. Title 36, chapter 29, article 1, Arizona Revised Statutes, is amended by adding section 36-2907.16, to read:
