LEGISLATIVE COUNSEL'S DIGEST AB 2023, as introduced, Gray. Vehicles: length. Existing law prohibits a vehicle from exceeding a length of 40 feet, except for a motortruck used solely as a cotton module mover and that does not exceed 48 feet in length. This bill would instead exempt a motortruck used solely as a cotton module mover and that does not exceed 53 feet in length from that prohibition. Vote: majority. Appropriation: no. Fiscal committee: no. State-mandated local program: no. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 35400.5 of the Vehicle Code is amended to read: 35400.5. Subdivision (a) of Section 35400 does not apply to a motortruck used solely as a cotton module mover and  which   that  does not exceed  48   53  feet in length.
