Existing law provides that the place where a persons family is domiciled is the persons domicile, except as specified. Existing law provides that if a person has a family fixed in one place, and the person does business in another place, the former is the persons place of domicile. However, if the person having a family fixed in one place has taken up an abode in another place with the intention of remaining and the persons family does not so reside with the person, that other abode is the persons domicile.This bill would clarify that, for purposes of these provisions, a person may take up an abode at the same place at which the person does business.Digest Key Vote: MAJORITY Appropriation: NO Fiscal Committee: NO Local Program: NO Bill TextThe people of the State of California do enact as follows:SECTION 1.
