(a) (1)On Commencing December 1, 2024, the office of the Governor shall maintain on its internet website a list of every state board and commission, their membership list, the stated purpose, duties, meeting frequency, and internet website of every state board and commission, and any vacancies in the membership of each state board and commission.(b) On or before December 1, 2024, January 31, 2025, and on or before every December 1 January 31 thereafter, the office of the Governor shall create and publish on its internet website a report that contains all of the following information: aggregate demographic information, to the extent available, of appointments by the office of the Governor from January 1 to December 31, inclusive, of the previous year.(A)The demographic information, to the extent available, of each appointment by the office of the Governor to date and from January 1 to November 15 of the reporting year, inclusive.(B)The demographic information of the gubernatorial appointees on each state board and commission as of November 15 of the reporting year.(C)A list of every state board and commission, the stated objective of every state board and commission, meetings held by each state board and commission in the prior year, and any openings in the membership of each state board and commission.(2)The demographic information required in subparagraphs (A) and (B) of paragraph (1) shall only be included to the extent that the individual agrees to disclose such information in the report.(3)On or before December 1, 2024, and on or before every December 1 thereafter, the office of the Governor shall publish on its internet website the information described in subparagraph (B) of paragraph (1).(b)(c) (1) For purposes of this section, and with respect to the first annual report, demographic information shall mean the voluntarily self-reported age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, disability status, region, veteran status, and sexual orientation and party affiliation of the appointed individual.(2) Commencing January 31, 2026, for purposes of this section, and with respect to any subsequent annual report, demographic information means the voluntarily self-reported age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, disability status, race, region, party affiliation, veteran status, and sexual orientation of the appointed individual.
