7-ONCERNING COUNTY COURT JUDGES IN WESTERN COLORADO.
8-Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
9-SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 13-6-201, amend
10-(2)(b) and (2)(c) as follows:
11-13-6-201. Classification of counties. (2) Classes of counties for
12-this part 2 are:

21+For county court organizational and administrative purposes, the
22+bill changes the classifications of Garfield and Montezuma counties from
23+Class C to Class B.
24+For Garfield county, the bill amends the requirement that the
25+associate county court judge in Rifle must maintain an official residence
26+in Rifle and instead requires an official residence anywhere in Garfield
27+county.

35-associate county judge who shall maintain his AN official residence IN
36-GARFIELD COUNTY and court chambers in the city of Rifle.
37-(3) In the county of Rio Blanco there shall MUST be an associate
38-county judge who shall maintain his AN official residence IN RIO BLANCO
39-COUNTY and court chambers in the city of Rangely.
40-SECTION 3. Safety clause. The general assembly hereby finds,

42-preservation of the public peace, health, or safety.
