44 | | - | financial aid forms do so for one or more of the following reasons: |

45 | | - | (I) (A) Students and families are unaware of the true cost of |
---|
46 | | - | attending postsecondary options and the resources available to pay for |
---|
47 | | - | education and training that might be available by federal or state financial |
---|
48 | | - | aid forms; or |
---|
49 | | - | (B) A false belief that grants or scholarships are unavailable based |
---|
50 | | - | on family resources and income levels; |
---|
51 | | - | (II) Students and families often do not have the required tax |
---|
52 | | - | information available due to individual or family circumstances or needed |
---|
53 | | - | support to acquire that information or fill out complex forms, which leads |
---|
54 | | - | to students not completing and submitting federal financial aid or state |
---|
55 | | - | financial aid documents; and |
---|
56 | | - | (III) Students and families fear incurring debt for postsecondary |
