25+administrative services for independent agencies (office) in the judicial
26+department to provide administrative support services to the office of the

46+office of public guardianship, and the commission on judicial discipline.
47+The bill requires the office to be governed by an administrative
48+board that is responsible for hiring the director of the office, assisting the
49+office director in establishing office policies regarding the delivery of
50+support services, and providing human resources assistance to assist in
51+the hiring of office employees.
52+The bill sets responsibilities for the office.
53+The bill requires the judicial department to provide the office with
54+administrative support until July 1, 2024, and to provide office space for
55+the office.
56+Under current law, certain independent agencies operate through
57+a memorandum of understanding with the judicial department. The bill
58+repeals the memorandum of understanding requirements to allow the
59+office to provide those services to the office of child protection
60+ombudsman and the office of public guardianship.
61+The bill makes and reduces appropriations.
