48+before January 15, 2023, and on or before January 15, 2024. The bill
49+extends each deadline 2 years, so that a report is required on or before
50+January 15, 2025, and on or before January 15, 2026.
51+The department of higher education was appropriated $3 million
52+for the student success data system. The bill permits the department to
53+spend the appropriated money through December 31, 2026.
54+Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:1

24-representatives education committee and senate education committee on the
25-work required and any barriers identified, including recommendations for

36-SECTION 2. In Session Laws of Colorado 2022, amend section 4
37-of chapter 349 as follows:
38-Section 4. Appropriation. For the 2022-23 state fiscal year,
39-$3,000,000 is appropriated to the department of higher education. This
40-appropriation is from the workers, employers, and workforce centers cash
41-fund created in section 24-75-231 (2)(a), C.R.S., is of money that originates
42-from the general fund, and is based on an assumption that the department
43-will require an additional 1.0 FTE in the FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24 state
44-fiscal years. To implement this act, the department may use this
45-appropriation for the student success data system. Any money appropriated
46-in this section not expended prior to July 1, 2023, is available for
47-expenditure in the 2023-24 state fiscal year
48- THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2026,
49-for the same purpose.
50-SECTION 3. Safety clause. The general assembly finds,
51-determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate
52-preservation of the public peace, health, or safety or for appropriations for

54-institutions.
