ONCERNING EXTENDING THE DEADLINE FOR THE COLORADO COMMISSION
ON HIGHER EDUCATION
'S STATEWIDE LONGITUDINAL DATA SYSTEM
REPORT
, AND, IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, EXTENDING A RELATED
EXISTING APPROPRIATION

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 23-1-141, amend (7)
as follows:
23-1-141.  Student success data system - student success data
transparency - appropriation - definition - repeal. (7)  On or before
January 15, 2023
 JANUARY 15, 2025, and on or before January 15, 2024
JANUARY 15, 2026, the commission shall submit a report to the house of
representatives education committee and senate education committee on the
work required and any barriers identified, including recommendations for

system that connects K-12, postsecondary education, and workforce
information.
SECTION 2. In Session Laws of Colorado 2022, amend section 4
of chapter 349 as follows:
Section 4. Appropriation. For the 2022-23 state fiscal year,
$3,000,000 is appropriated to the department of higher education. This
appropriation is from the workers, employers, and workforce centers cash
fund created in section 24-75-231 (2)(a), C.R.S., is of money that originates
from the general fund, and is based on an assumption that the department
will require an additional 1.0 FTE in the FY 2022-23 and FY 2023-24 state
fiscal years. To implement this act, the department may use this
appropriation for the student success data system. Any money appropriated
in this section not expended prior to July 1, 2023, is available for
expenditure in the 2023-24 state fiscal year
 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2026,
for the same purpose.
SECTION 3. Safety clause. The general assembly finds,
determines, and declares that this act is necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health, or safety or for appropriations for

institutions.
