Fiscal Impact: 
No fiscal impact.  The bill makes references to state and county departments of 
human services consistent across statute.

The fiscal note reflects the enacted bill, which was recommended by the Statutory 
Revision Committee. 
Summary of Legislation 
The bill makes statutory revisions to ensure consistency in references to the Department of 
Human Services, county department of human or social services, and the State Board of Human 
Services. 
Assessment of No Fiscal Impact 
The bill modifies language in state statute to conform references to state and county 
departments of human services. These changes will not impact workload, expenditures, or 
revenue of any state agency or local government. For this reason, the bill is assessed as having 
no fiscal impact.  
Effective Date 
The bill was signed into law by the Governor on May 3, 2024, and takes effect on 
August 7, 2024, assuming no referendum petition is filed.
