27+To prevent and combat the sharing and spreading of
28+misinformation and disinformation, the attorney general is required to:

46+! Develop and share a curriculum to facilitate productive and
47+honest conversations regarding statewide and national
48+issues to help people find common ground; and
49+! Collaborate with organizations across the state to develop
50+and update the materials that are used in connection with
51+the curriculum.
52+The attorney general is also required to study how the internet and
53+other media channels, including social media platforms, are used to share
54+and spread misinformation and disinformation. In addition, the attorney
55+general is required to review relevant state and federal constitutional
56+provisions and federal laws and regulations to address preemption and the
57+intersection of state and federal authority. The attorney general may invite
58+experts to collaborate or consult with the attorney general or to provide
59+other assistance to the attorney general in performing the duties specified
60+in the bill.
61+The attorney general is required to publish a report of its findings
62+and to submit the report to the judiciary committees of the senate and the
63+house of representatives. The report must include recommendations for
64+state legislation.
65+For the 2024-2025 state fiscal year, $150,000 is appropriated to the
66+department of law for the implementation of the bill.
