9188 (d) THIS SUBSECTION (1.5) IS REPEALED, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2026.13
9289 SECTION 2. Act subject to petition - effective date. This act14
9390 takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the15
9491 ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly; except16
9592 that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to section 1 (3) of article V17
9693 of the state constitution against this act or an item, section, or part of this18
9794 act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part will not take19
9895 effect unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in20
9996 November 2026 and, in such case, will take effect on the date of the21
10097 official declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.22
