3936 SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 24-37.5-125, amend2

4441 (7) (b) (I) Notwithstanding section 24-1-136 (11)(a)(I), beginning April7
4542 15, 2026 SEPTEMBER 15, 2026, and each April 15 thereafter, the office8
4643 shall submit an annual report to the education committees of the house of9
4744 representatives and the senate, or their successor committees, the state10
4845 board of education, and the governor. Subject to data availability, the11
4946 annual report must summarize key findings from education and workforce12
5047 outcomes and education and workforce readiness, including, at a13
5148 minimum:14
5249 SECTION 2. Act subject to petition - effective date. This act15
5350 takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the16
5451 ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly; except17
5552 that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to section 1 (3) of article V18
5653 of the state constitution against this act or an item, section, or part of this19
5754 act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part will not take20
5855 effect unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in21
5956 November 2026 and, in such case, will take effect on the date of the22
6057 official declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.23
