SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 24-37.5-125, amend2
(7)(b)(I) introductory portion as follows:3
24-37.5-125.  Colorado statewide longitudinal data system -4
education and workforce - postsecondary workforce readiness5
programs - appropriation - cash fund - report - definitions - repeal.6
(7) (b) (I)  Notwithstanding section 24-1-136 (11)(a)(I), beginning April7
15, 2026 SEPTEMBER 15, 2026, and each April 15 thereafter, the office8
shall submit an annual report to the education committees of the house of9
representatives and the senate, or their successor committees, the state10
board of education, and the governor. Subject to data availability, the11
annual report must summarize key findings from education and workforce12
outcomes and education and workforce readiness, including, at a13
minimum:14
SECTION 2. Act subject to petition - effective date. This act15
takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the16
ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly; except17
that, if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to section 1 (3) of article V18
of the state constitution against this act or an item, section, or part of this19
act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part will not take20
effect unless approved by the people at the general election to be held in21
November 2026 and, in such case, will take effect on the date of the22
official declaration of the vote thereon by the governor.23
