1313 WHEREAS, The Colorado 4-H Youth Development program is1
1414 founded on the notion that youth are a vital resource for ensuring a better2
1515 tomorrow, and assisting youth as they prepare for the future is the 4-H3
1616 program's central mission; and4
1717 WHEREAS, The Colorado 4-H program is an integral part of5
1818 Colorado State University Extension and is fundamental to the land-grant6
1919 university mission; and7
2020 WHEREAS, Participation in 4-H in Colorado is open to youth8
2121 between the ages of 5 and 19 from all economic, social, and cultural9

5751 Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the Seventy-fifth14
5852 General Assembly of the State of Colorado, the Senate concurring herein:15
5953 (1) That the General Assembly salutes the Colorado 4-H program,16
6054 in partnership with Colorado State University Extension, in its efforts to17
6155 prepare Colorado's youth for the future by providing a wealth of18
6256 opportunities for young people to acquire decision-making, leadership,19
6357 and communication skills in a hands-on, friendly learning environment;20
6458 (2) That the General Assembly encourages young people in21
6559 Colorado to get a head start in life by participating in 4-H activities; and22
6660 (3) That the General Assembly hereby declares Monday, January23
6761 27, 2025, to be "Colorado 4-H Day" in recognition of the 4-H program's24
6862 efforts on behalf of Colorado's youth.25
