9-Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Colorado:
10-SECTION 1. In Colorado Revised Statutes, 20-1-306, amend (2)
11-as follows:
12-20-1-306. Compensation paid from state and county funds.
13-(2) Effective July 1, 2026, the salaries of assistant district attorneys in every
14-judicial district of the state as set forth in section 20-1-203 must be paid in
15-twelve equal monthly installments of which the state shall contribute fifty
16-TWENTY-FIVE percent of the minimum amount required by section 20-1-203
17-(2) annually, and the county or counties comprising the judicial district shall
18-contribute the balance, with each county's payment to be in the same
19-proportion as provided in section 20-1-302.
20-SECTION 2. Act subject to petition - effective date. This act
21-takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the
