2424 AN ACT CONCERNING NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE WITH A MOTOR VEHICLE.

2626 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

2828 Section 1. Section 14-222a of the general statutes is repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2010):

3030 (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, any person who, in consequence of the negligent operation of a motor vehicle, causes the death of another person shall be fined not more than one thousand dollars or imprisoned not more than [six months] two years, or both.
