REP. HEWETT, 39th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING SUFFICIENT NUMBERS OF BALLOTS AT POLLING PLACES. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 147 of the general statutes be amended to require registrars of voters to procure enough official ballots to ensure that each polling place have at least one official ballot per registered voter assigned to vote at the polling place and that chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to provide that funds from the Citizens' Election Fund be used to defray costs incurred by municipalities when purchasing ballots. Statement of Purpose: To ensure that each polling place have enough official ballots to accommodate each voter assigned to vote at the polling place and to assist municipalities in the purchase of such ballots.
