AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF WAYS IN WHICH MUNICIPALITIES MAY PROVIDE PROPERTY TAX RELIEF.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) On or before February 1, 2012, the Legislative Program Review and Investigations Committee shall submit to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to municipalities a study of ways in which municipalities may provide property tax relief. Such study shall include, without limitation, an analysis of (1) how regionalism efforts may be used to reduce property taxes, and (2) alternative revenue sources for municipalities.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
