AN ACT PROTECTING CITIZENS FROM ABUSIVE AND OPPRESSIVE AUTOMATED POLITICAL TELEPHONE CALLS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to limit abusive and oppressive political "robo-calls" by requiring each call to begin with statement by the candidate who is originating the call, or who is supported by the call, in the candidate's own voice, identifying himself and stating the he approves the call.

Statement of Purpose: 

 To limit abusive and oppressive political "robo-calls".
