AN ACT CONCERNING MULTIPLE CERTIFICATIONS FROM CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subdivision (3) of subsection (c) of section 9-608 of the general statutes be amended by clarifying that no treasurer shall be required to obtain and keep more than one certification from each contributor, unless information certified by the contributor, other than when the amount contributed changes.
Statement of Purpose:
To allow political committee and campaign treasurers to eliminate redundant campaign paperwork.
