AN ACT PERMITTING THE USE OF ON-LINE SOFTWARE FOR MEETINGS AND HEARINGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 54 of the general statutes be amended to permit boards and commissions to conduct meetings and public hearings, other than contested cases and administrative proceedings, while using on-line software that enables the members of such boards or commissions who are not physically present to participate. 

Statement of Purpose: 

To encourage the use of certain technology for meetings and public hearings of boards and commissions while maintaining the condition that members be present for administrative proceedings or contested cases.
