AN ACT CONCERNING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That subsection (a) of section 10-145 of the general statutes be amended to allow a person who does not hold a bachelor's degree to be able to be employed as a substitute teacher if such person has five or more years of substitute teaching experience.

Statement of Purpose: 

To allow experienced substitute teachers, who do not have a bachelor's degree, to continue substitute teaching.
