AN ACT REQUIRING CERTAIN STATE AGENCIES TO DESIGNATE A MUNICIPAL OMBUDSMAN.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require each state agency that interacts regularly with municipalities and local officials to designate at least one employee as a "municipal ombudsman" who will be responsible for coordinating matters between such agency and towns.

Statement of Purpose: 

To provide a dedicated municipal ombudsman at each state agency who will facilitate communications between such agency and the towns.
