AN ACT CONCERNING NEW GROUP HOMES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to provide that when an application for a new group home is filed, (1) the applicant shall provide written notice of such application to property owners within a one-quarter mile radius of the site of the proposed group home, and (2) the planning and zoning commission shall conduct a public hearing on such application prior to issuing final approval.
Statement of Purpose:
To require a public hearing and written notice to neighboring property owners concerning any application for a new group home.
